Martin Matyk (born July 4, 1983 , Kladno ) is a former German inline speed skater and personal trainer .

Life

He grew up in Darmstadt and has been training with the Eis- und Rollschnelllauf Gemeinschaft eV Darmstadt since 1995 .

Matyk has been driving for the Roces Speed ​​Team since 2000, and in 2002 he switched to the Powerslide Racing Team . In the 2006 season he drove for the Vero Powerslide Team , which was formed from the Vero Skate Team and Powerslide. In 2007 he started for the Powerslide-Phuzion team .

Martin Matyk was multiple German junior champion. He was a member of the German national team. He celebrated his greatest success at the 2006 European Championships in Cassano d'Adda , Italy. There he won the runner-up European title over 500 m on the track. He won silver back in 1999, but back then in the junior relay.

His father Paul Matyk and Jindra Parik are the initiators of Czech speed skating.
