Max Sebastian Darj (born September 27, 1991 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish handball player . He is currently under contract with the Bundesliga club Bergischen HC .

Career

Max Darj started his career at Stenungsunds HK at the age of 12 . In 2009 he moved to the Swedish first division club Alingsås HK . In 2010 he made his first division debut against Hammarby IF HF and came against BM Ciudad Real for his first appearance in the Champions League . In 2011, at the age of 20, he became the captain of Alingsås and won the Swedish championship in 2014. In the 2016/17 season he was voted the best defensive player in the Swedish league.

For the 2017/18 season he moved to Bergisch HC .

With the national team of Sweden he finished second at the handball European championship 2018 .
