The medal "For heroic work in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" ( Russian медаль "За доблестный труд в Великой Отечественной войне 1941-1945 гг.» ) Was a state and military decoration of the USSR , which on 6 June 1945 in one stage was donated. A total of 16,096,750 medals were awarded.

Award terms

The medal was awarded to all workers, engineers, employees of industry and transport, peasants, scientists, technicians, artists, writers, party members and trade union workers, as well as other social organizations, who selflessly worked towards the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War , the Soviet Designation for the German-Soviet War . A minimum of one year of employment between 1941 and 1945 was a minimum requirement. In the case of invalids, women and pensioners, six months of work was sufficient.

Appearance and wearing style

The 32 mm diameter medal is made of copper and shows the left-looking portrait of Stalin on its obverse . This is enclosed by the inscription: Наше дело правое - мы победили (Our cause is just - We have won). The reverse of the medal, on the other hand, shows the complete inscription : За доблестный труд в Великой / Отечественной / войне / 1941–1945 (for heroic work in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945), where the words Засрдыд act as Засрдыд for work. The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest of the borrower on a red pentagonal clasp with a two millimeter wide yellow border and a seven millimeter green vertical central stripe.
