The medal for services to anti-imperialist solidarity of the Solidarity Committee of the German Democratic Republic was an award of the Solidarity Committee of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in one step in mid-1985 and produced in a number of 5,000. By 1990, around 200 people received this award, along with Erich Honecker and other members of the Politburo also Erich Mielke , in his capacity as Minister for State Security was honored on June 22, 1985 and was thus one of the first people to be honored alongside Hubert Egemann .

The gilded medal shows a portrait of a fist in the center of its obverse , which is stretching a torch with red flames into the sky. This symbolism is surrounded by the inscription: FOR MERIT FOR ANTI-IMPERIALIST SOLIDARITY . The reverse of the medal, however, shows the five-line inscription: SOLIDARITÄTS- / KOMITEE / DER DEUTSCHEN / DEMOKRATISCHEN / REPUBLIK . The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest of the entrant on a rectangular, red-covered clasp, in the middle of which a 10 mm diameter miniature of the obverse of the medal is placed, but without inscription.
