More result is a term from tax law . On the one hand, it describes the excess tax revenue that accrues for the state as a result of an external audit . On the other hand, it is a criterion for the promotion of tax officials, as a benchmark for the tax revenue that a tax officer earns compared to the average of the tax officers.

According to the Federal Ministry of Finance, the following additional results were achieved in 2011:

  • The tax audits led to an additional result of € 16.3 billion.
  • 13,226 auditors were in action and achieved an average additional result of around € 1.23 million per auditor.
  • 197,518 of the 8,571,212 companies recorded in the company register of the tax offices were audited; this corresponds to 2.3%.
