Master of the Budapest antiphonary

As a master of the Budapest Antiphonary ( English Master of the Budapest Antiphonary ), the illuminator called, has painted a manuscript now in the National Library of Hungary in Budapest is located.

The antiphonary comes from a Franciscan monastery and was created around 1445 in Lombardy and is painted in a Lombard painting style typical of the region in the first half of the 15th century.

The painting style of the painter, who is not known by name, is very close to that of Michelino da Besozzo (1370-1455).
