Human rights officer
Human rights officer means specially appointed officers for the field of human rights . There are state human rights commissioners in many nations around the world, and numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) also provide commissioners.
Individual states
Germany
In Germany , in addition to the Human Rights Commissioner in the Foreign Office, there is also a Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Issues in the Federal Ministry of Justice , who is primarily responsible for legally representing Germany before international courts, in particular before the European Court of Human Rights .
Austria
In Austria , there was a human rights officer at the Ministry of the Interior (currently the Deputy Head of Cabinet's agenda), or, for example, appointed by the state governments , as well as by the police .
Russia
In Russia there is a human rights commissioner who is elected by the State Duma (parliament) for a five-year term.
U.N.
The United Nations also appoint various human rights commissioners, namely the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights as well as their sub-commissoners and local officers (appointed for a certain region or country) and possibly UN special representatives (Special Representatives of the Secretary-General) for special issues. They are prepared by the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights (Special Rapporteur) supported.
