Degrees and application

The size of the knife bevel angle depends on the material to be cut. The angle sizes used in bookbinding are between 16 ° and 26 °. The standard angle has now increased from 21 ° to 24 ° due to the ever harder material to be cut. This means that the knife bevel angle increases with the hardness of the material to be cut.
