Metanet Software is an independent Canadian development team based in Toronto, founded in 2001 by Mare Sheppard and Raigan Burns.
Their only game so far is Jump 'n' Run N , released in 2004 , which received the Audience Award of the Independent Games Festival in 2005 and the Audience Award of the Slamdance Guerilla Gamemaker Competition in 2006 and is now in version 2.0. They are currently working on a new game with the code name Robotology , which is definitely not a successor to N, and a new version of N, in which further improvements are planned. Robotology should be particularly characterized by the presence of ropes and the physically realistic effects, as Metanet announced in the course of an interview with PC Gamer magazine.
Metanet announced that in the future they will alternately publish free and shareware.
