Michal Mackevič

Michał Mackiewicz (lit. Michal Mackevič ; born October 1, 1953 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician of Polish origin.

Life

In 1973 he graduated from the agricultural technical college in Buivydiškės ( district of Vilnius ) and became an agronomist . From 1973 to 1975 he served in the Soviet Army. In 1981 he graduated from the Vilniaus valstybinis pedagoginis institutas and became a teacher of the Polish language . From 1990 he was editor-in-chief and publisher of “Magazyn Wileński”. From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the Vilnius City Council. He has been a member of the Seimas since 2008 .

He has been a member of Lietuvos lenkų sąjunga since 1988 and has been its chairman since 2002. Since 1994 he has been a member of Lietuvos lenkų rinkimų akcija .
