Miguel Trefaut Rodrigues

Miguel Trefaut Urbano Rodrigues (* 1953 ) is a Brazilian herpetologist .

Rodrigues received his PhD from the University of São Paulo in 1984. In 1996 he became professor of biology at the University of São Paulo and was director of the university's Zoological Museum from 1997 to 2001. He specialized in Brazilian frogs.

He first described 53 species of reptiles and amphibians. Several reptiles and amphibians were named in his honor, such as the frog Cycloramphus migueli (Heyer 1988), and a fish.
