Minnesota Amendment 1

Minnesota Amendment 1 was a popular initiative in Minnesota. Its goal was to ban same-sex marriage in the state constitution. The referendum took place on the same day as the 2012 presidential election . The initiative was rejected by the voters with 51.90 percent of the votes cast.
