Noon rule

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Germany the so-called states noon rule (§ 7 VVG ) that for the beginning and end of insurance of noon on the agreed date is considered to be agreed at the time. This rule is mandatory. If you consider that the statutory health insurance is based on the beginning and the end of a day, difficulties arise if no different timing rule is made between the policyholder and the private health insurer . Therefore, the legislator has standardized in Section 7 (2) VVG an exclusion of the noon rule for private health insurance. There are also deviations for motor vehicle insurance (see Section 1 (2) KfzPflVV).
