Mobilier national

The national mobilier has been a state institution in France since 1936 , which has the task of equipping the palais of the French president and other important institutions of the state with high-quality furniture and carpets from French production. The national Mobilier is subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and Communication and has its seat at rue Berbier-du-Mets No. 1 in Paris .

Modern design

Under the Minister of Culture André Malraux , the Atelier de recherche et de création (ARC) was created in 1964 , which commissions designers to design modern furniture.
