The Ammerland eG dairy is a northern German milk processing company .

Companies

The Ammerland dairy product portfolio includes semi-hard cheese, butter, milk and whey powder, concentrates, fresh milk, buttermilk and long-life milk. The two production sites are in Wiefelstede- Dringenburg and Oldenburg . In the 2017 financial year, the company processed 1,738.5 million kg of milk, which is produced by the around 2,000 establishments of the cooperative within a radius of around 80 kilometers.

The Ammerland dairy produces for trade and industry. In addition, the company has been selling dairy products under its own “Ammerländer” brand since 2001. The products are exported to over 60 countries, the export share is around 50 percent. The Ammerland dairy is represented internationally through the following sales subsidiaries: Ammerland Hungary Kft. (Hungary), Ammerland Iberica SLU (Spain), Ammerland Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (Singapore, China), Ammerland America Corp. (UNITED STATES).

history

The origins of the company go back to 1885 when one of the first dairies in the region was founded in Rastede . Today's company was founded in 1989 under the name Milchwerke Ammerland-Oldenburg eG , and in 2000 it was renamed Molkerei Ammerland eG .
