With Mono loyalty is often named the behavior to always buy the same product, without taking the option into account to acquire other, perhaps better products. So you are loyal to a product.

Dual or multi-loyalty

As a dual or multi loyal is known in the business administration behavior to purchase a limited number of products alternately, without addressing it, like many others, perhaps better or cheaper products exist on the market. Loyalty is driven by risk aversion , which is often firmly anchored in the personality . A need that goes against risk aversion is an appetite for variety.

In purchasing behavior there is usually a duality of risk aversion and the need for variety.

Zero order

Zero order is the category of buyers who cannot be divided into any category due to their very unsteady behavior.

Variety seeking

Variety Seeking describes the hybrid behavior of monoloyance and zero-order behavior over time, i.e. the behavior of the buyer to be monoloyal to a product for a while, later to become a zero-order buyer, and then after some time to be monoloyal again.
