Montante Hollandaise

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Montante Hollandaise , Cancellation hollandaise or short Hollandaise is a popular form of Martingalespiels which by many players in setting up those easy chances at Roulette is applied.

The player starts his attack on the casino with a bet of one unit ( piece ) and only ever bets one unit as long as he wins. As soon as the player loses for the first time, he notes a 1. This one is the beginning of the sequence of numbers that determines the size of the following bets; The following rules apply here:

  • If the player has lost the last coup, he adds the number of units last placed at the right end of the sequence.
  • If the player has won the last coup, he crosses out the number at the left end of the sequence.
  • In the next coup, the player bets one unit more than the first number that has not yet been crossed out.

The Hollandaise sentence technique after a loss is explained using an example (three losses, two wins, one loss, two wins):

example

1st coup: bet 1 piece, lost; Note: 1

2nd coup: bet 2 pieces, lost; Note: 1 - 2

3rd coup: bet 2 pieces, lost; Note: 1 - 2 - 2

4th coup: bet 2 pieces, won; Note: (1) - 2 - 2

5th coup: bet 3 pieces, won; Note: (1) - (2) - 2

6. Coup: bet 3 pieces, lost; Note: (1) - (2) - 2 - 3

7th coup: bet 3 pieces, won; Note: (1) - (2) - (2) - 3

8th coup: bet 4 pieces, won; Note: (1) - (2) - (2) - (3)

If a player manages to cross off all numbers, he has covered each previous loss with a profit that is one unit higher and thus won half a unit per coup, in the above example four units.

The hollandaise is like the labouchère system an example of a Abstreichprogression ( points redemption system , Cancellation ): With every win a previous loss will be redeemed and canceled on the list.

Like the Progression d'Alembert, this system is based on the law of equilibrium : Provided that the number of profits and losses is equalized in the long term, this system leads to profit. But this assumption is wrong - and so this system leads to a loss à la longue for exactly the same reasons (see Progression d'Alembert ).
