The Montes Archimedes are a mountain range on the Earth's moon , east of the Mare Imbrium . It is named after the Greek mathematician Archimedes and extends for 163 kilometers and its mountains are up to 2 kilometers high. In the center is a particularly rugged section of around 70 kilometers. The center point is at 25 ° 3 'N / 4 ° 6' W.
