The Montes Secchi are a mountain group on the Earth's moon with an average diameter of around 50 km. They are located between the south-eastern edge of the Mare Tranquillitatis and the north-western edge of the Mare Fecunditatis . It is named after the Italian astronomer Angelo Secchi .
South of the Montes Secchi parallel the moon groove Rimae Secchi .
The triangular Mount Secchi Theta was nicknamed Mount Marilyn by astronaut Jim Lovell during the Apollo 8 lunar mission . The mountain is the triangular elevation at the bottom left in the picture.
