Moritz Alexander Sachs (born August 13, 1978 in Cologne ) is a German actor , assistant director and organizer of the international short film festival shnit in Cologne. He became known for the role of Klaus Beimer in the series Lindenstrasse .

Moritz A. Sachs was born in Cologne in 1978 as the son of the legal scholar Michael Sachs . From episode 1 (1985) to episode 1758 (2020) he played the role of Klaus Beimer in the WDR series Lindenstrasse . From 1999 to 2000 he made a one-year trip through South America, Africa and Asia. In addition to acting, Sachs studied law.

In 2005 he took a one-year break from Lindenstrasse to focus on working behind the camera. As an assistant director he was involved in numerous projects; Among other things, on the television series Die Rettungsflieger (director: Gero Weinreuter / Wolfgang Dickmann) and Notruf Hafenkante as well as the movies Eden Plaza (director: Fred Breinersdorfer ) and The Last Days (director: Oliver Frohnauer).

In 2007, Sachs premiered the musical Die Schwarzen Brüder as production manager in Switzerland . With his colleague Holger Kunze, he runs his own production company for film and musicals. Since 2009 he has been the organizer of the international short film festival shnit in Cologne. In 2011 he took part in the fourth season of the dance show Let's Dance with Melissa Ortiz-Gomez ; the couple reached second place.
