Morphological monopoly

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A morphological monopoly is understood to be a monopoly that can be attacked at any time.

If one assumes that the prospect of a market niche creates a monopoly and that a temporary monopoly position is the incentive to fill the market niche, then monopolies ensure technical progress and new products by filling the niche . Because of the negative effects of the monopoly quantity and the monopoly price for the customer , competition is desirable for him in the long run. However, this competition will arise of its own accord, because other providers will also want to benefit from the market niche.

A morphological monopoly can therefore be desirable for a short time, since it makes new products available to the consumer. Only when competition is added will the prices for it fall.
