Moses E. Lewis

Moses E. Lewis (born July 26, 1854 in Coal Valley , Rock Island County , Illinois , †  March 13, 1951 in Pasadena , California ) was an American politician . Between 1915 and 1917 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado .

Career

Nothing is known about the youth and schooling of Moses Lewis. Nothing is known about his professional career beyond politics. He came to Colorado, where he embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1905 and 1909 he was a member of the Colorado Senate .

In 1914, Lewis was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado alongside George Alfred Carlson . He held this office between 1915 and 1917. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1928 he was a substitute delegate to the Republican National Convention . There is no information in the sources about his life after this period. He died on March 13, 1951 in Pasadena at the age of 96.
