Mulberry is an email program developed by Cyrusoft International . Mulberry was originally developed as a proprietary program for the Mac OS operating system . The program is particularly valued for its good support for the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP).
After the bankruptcy of Cyrusoft International, the original author, Cyrus Daboo, bought the rights to Mulberry and has been distributing it in a free version since August 2006, the future of which is uncertain. Support is still available in the form of a mailing list and documentation, both in English. At the end of November 2007, Cyrus Daboo made the source code of Mulberry available as open source under the Apache license .
