Munitions reconnaissance

Ammunition reconnaissance describes the localization and determination of ammunition , whereby ammunition does not only mean projectiles, but explosive devices of all kinds. The tasks can also include the implementation of shut-off and protective measures. This activity, which can be found in the armed forces and police forces , is carried out by ammunition experts ( fireworks assistants ). The ammunition reconnaissance service is run either as an independent service or as part of the ammunition clearance service.

The internationally used abbreviation for ammunition reconnaissance is EOR ( English Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance ).
