The musiconn.performance database is a project of the Musicology Information Service of the Saxon State and University Library Dresden and is used for convenient research into musical performances and networks the research data and results of various partners.
history
As part of a survey and based on the results of a data collection initiated by IAML Germany in 2003, concert organizers, archives, museums and libraries throughout Germany were therefore asked to provide information on the holdings of Music Performance Ephemera in their institutions. In October 2017, planning began for the central database for recording musical performances. The database was activated on March 16, 2020. The portal is part of the musicology specialist information service. The musicology specialist information service, funded by the DFG , is operated jointly by the Bavarian State Library in Munich and the SLUB.
