N-Trak

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

N-Trak is a model railway - modular system of track N , the early 1970s originated in the United States. The system is based on a rigid grid of 2 feet (approx. 61 cm), which enables closed ring systems. Three electrically independent mainline tracks are defined next to each other, of which the two front tracks represent a continuous main track, while the third track is used for local traffic.

Due to the worldwide distribution of the system, international systems are very easy to implement.

N-Trak was the inspiration for almost all later module systems such as Bendtrak, FREMO or AmericaN.
