NRW MIX

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The NRW-MIX is a share index developed by the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange . It is made up of the 50 largest stock corporations in North Rhine-Westphalia that are not represented in the DAX 30 . The index was first published on September 3, 2007.

The composition of the companies means that the index behaves independently of the DAX. This makes the NRW-MIX suitable as an indicator for economic development in North Rhine-Westphalia without being influenced by DAX heavyweights. The index started with 1,000 points, calculated back to March 21, 2003.

The index contains companies from different industries, sizes and locations. As a market barometer, according to the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange, the index is intended to attract more attention to companies from analysts, investors and the media.

The NRW-MIX is calculated on the basis of the market capitalization of the free float, i.e. the proportion of shares that are freely traded and are therefore of interest to investors. Companies with less than 5 percent free float are not included. The index is calculated and published every trading day on the basis of the closing prices, both as a performance index and as a price index. The index is published on the website of the Düsseldorf Stock Exchange. The current composition can also be viewed there, which is reviewed twice a year in spring and autumn and changed in special cases (e.g. squeeze-out , delisting , etc.).

According to a telephone call on November 26th, the calculation of the NRW-MIX was ended on July 30th, 2015.
