Nathaniel W. Smith

Nathaniel Waite Smith (born November 18, 1873 in Providence , Rhode Island , † September 2, 1957 ) was an American politician . Between 1925 and 1927 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Rhode Island.

There are virtually no usable sources on Nathaniel Smith. What is certain is that he lived at least temporarily in South Kingstown in Washington County and was a member of the Republican Party . In 1924 he was elected lieutenant governor of Rhode Island alongside Aram J. Pothier . He held this office between 1925 and 1927. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After his time as Lieutenant Governor, his track is lost again.
