National (Rose Bros.)
National was a British automobile brand manufactured by Rose Bros. in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire from 1902 to 1912 .
In 1902 the National 10/12 hp was introduced, a model with a two-cylinder in-line engine, of which no further data are known.
It was supported by the larger National 18/22 hp , which had a three-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 3.7 liters. This open touring car was available with chassis with a wheelbase of 2692 mm and 2870 mm. Both models had cardan drive .
In 1906 the National 20/24 hp appeared . It had an inline four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 4.9 liters and a wheelbase of 2896 mm.
From 1906 to 1912 the National 28/32 hp was built, a large touring car, also with a four-cylinder engine, but with a displacement of 6.3 liters. He too had a 2896 mm wheelbase.
The top model was the National 40/45 hp from 1907. Its six-cylinder in-line engine had a displacement of 9.4 liters and its wheelbase, like the other large National, was 2896 mm.
The very conventional vehicles were known for their good quality. In 1912, however, the production of the last model was also stopped.
