The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) is an international association of the music industry . The aim of the non-profit organization is initially to promote music play for all age groups. The headquarters in Carlsbad in the US state of California , 5790 Armada Drive , is also the seat of the Museum of Making Music .

As the organizer of trade fairs such as the NAMM Show , Namm serves dealers, manufacturers and its members to present their music products and technologies, for example for recording, sound reproduction and special exposures.

history

The first only nationally oriented National Association of Music Merchants was originally built in 1901 by various piano founded -Produzenten. The aim was initially to exclude dubious retail sellers and fend off sales prices that were too low.
