The National Guardian Life is an American insurer based in Madison , Wisconsin . The insurance association is geared towards the life insurance business .

History and background

The company was incorporated as a public company in 1909 under the name The Wisconsin State Life Insurance Company , and changed its name to Guardian Life Insurance Company shortly before commencing operations the following year . In 1920 the name was National as a prefix added after the competitors are Germania Life Insurance Company in 1918 The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America had renamed. In 1938 the company changed its legal form and turned into an insurance association .

The National Guardian Life has seen rapid growth since the mid-1990s, driven in particular by the acquisition of life insurance companies in various states of the United States . So under management amounted to 2015 3.8 billion US dollars , compared to 500 million in 1992 and 2.5 billion in the year of 2010.
