The natural monument 2 Linden (Brilon-Scharfenberg) is located north of Scharfenberg on the Lieberg in the city of Brilon . The two linden trees were designated as a natural monument (ND) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the landscape plan of the Brilon plateau . The linden trees have a diameter of about 0.50 m at chest height. They stand as a landscape element that is visible from afar on a small, agricultural plateau. The two linden trees frame a wayside shrine . The natural monument is located in the nature reserve Offenlandkomplex Rixen / Scharfenberg .
