Neisse bridge

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Neißebrück was a municipality on the Lusatian Neisse north-west of Priebus , which was created on April 1, 1938 through the merger of the municipalities Jamnitz-Pattag and Werdeck . The community was dissolved again in 1945 because the Oder-Neisse line formed the new border between Germany and Poland.

Werdeck on the left (southern) bank of the Neisse was again an independent German municipality from 1945 to 1950. Jamnitz on the right (northern) side of the Neisse was devastated by the effects of the war and no longer rebuilt, Pattag continues to exist as a Polish village under the name Potok .
