Nexant is a privately held US software and consulting company. The company offers software and information services for the energy and petrochemical industries. Nexant emerged from four predecessor companies and was spun off on January 1, 2000 as a subsidiary of Bechtel . In the next few years there was a rapid expansion with offices around the world.

NexantThinking

In 2001, Nexant took over the subsidiary Chem Systems from IBM , which has long been active as a statistics and price information service for the chemical industry. Today it operates under the name NexantThinking .
