Nigel Shadbolt
Nigel Shadbolt (born April 9, 1956 in London ) is a British computer scientist. He is Rector of Jesus College , Oxford and Professorial Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at Oxford University . As a co-founder of the Open Data Institute , he is its chairman. Shadbolt conducts interdisciplinary research and is an expert on regulations. His research focuses on understanding how intelligent behavior emerges in people, machines and, more recently, the Internet . He has also made scientific contributions to psychology , cognitive science , computational neuroscience , artificial intelligence , computer science and nascent web science .
