Nikanor (son of Parmenion)
According to historical tradition, Nikanor was the second son of the Macedonian general Parmenion . He was the leader of the light foot soldiers ( Hypaspisten ) on the campaigns of Alexander the great and in this capacity he was involved in all great battles of Alexander. On the express orders of Alexander, he pursued Darius III. (according to other sources, Bessos ) together with the Agrianes of Attalus . Nikanor died in 330 BC. Chr. , Before Alexander had killed his family.
