Norbert Szécsi (* 1990 or 1991 ) is a professional Hungarian poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

Career

Szécsi has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2010 .

Szécsi won the main event of the Campeonato de España de Poker in Malaga in November 2010 and received a prize of 33,650 euros . In mid-April 2012 he reached the final table at the main event of the World Poker Tour in Vienna and finished sixth, which was paid for just under 50,000 euros. In early July 2012 Szécsi was the first time in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em in the money. A year later he won the 42nd tournament of the 2013 WSOP and secured a prize money of around 345,000 US dollars and a bracelet as the fourth Hungarian . At the 2014 WSOP , Szécsi reached a final table again and finished second behind David Miscikowski in the 49th event on the tournament schedule for just under $ 450,000 in prize money. He also took second place at a bounty event at the 2016 WSOP at the end of June 2016 and received around 180,000 US dollars after losing heads-up to Kristen Bicknell . At the end of August 2017, Szécsi sat at the final table of the Pot Limit Omaha High Roller of the PokerStars Championship in Barcelona and came in fourth for over 100,000 euros in prize money. Early September 2018 he landed at the High Roller of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona behind Max Silver in second place and received due to a deal the most prize money of almost 630,000 euros, the highest ever in his career. In mid-December 2019, he took second place at the EPT Main Event in Prague and secured around 600,000 euros.

Overall, Szécsi has earned more than 3.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making him the most successful Hungarian poker player .
