The Foundry Standards Committee (GINA) at DIN German Institute for Standardization e. V. is responsible for national, European and international standardization in the field of foundries. He develops material standards for cast iron (cast iron with lamellar graphite, malleable cast iron, cast iron with spheroidal graphite, cast iron with compacted graphite, austenitic cast iron with lamellar graphite, austenitic cast iron with spheroidal graphite, wear-resistant alloyed cast iron) as well as testing standards for ultrasonic testing, and non-destructive testing of castings Tolerance standards and standards for production facilities, models and model facilities .

The GINA has currently organized its technical work in seven working committees:

  • Working Committee 05: Welding of graphitic cast materials
  • Working Committee 06: Production Facilities
  • Working Committee 07: Cast Aluminum Alloys
  • Working Committee 08: Copper Alloys

The work of working committees 05 and 06 is currently suspended [as of January 2013]. In addition, there is a joint working committee of GINA and the standards committee for non-ferrous metals (FNNE) on the subject of magnesium casting.
