North Sunderland
North Sunderland is a fishing community on the Northumberland coast and has its own port.
Based on the discovery of a cup from the Neolithic and a stone marked with a ring in a tomb near Seahouses from the Bronze Age, it can be proven that people were in the area at one time. Another grave site from the Bronze Age and a standing stone were found in a stone box.
In 1891 the population of North Sunderland was 828, in 1971 there were 1,733 residents.
