Nu Skin Enterprises (NSE for short; NYSE : NUS) is a US-American structured sales company that claims to sell cosmetics , anti-aging products and dietary supplements in over 40 countries . It was founded in 1984 by Blake M. Roney and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1996.

Roney started the company with a group of friends and his sister Nedra with $ 5,000 in starting capital. At the beginning, around a dozen products were offered that were delivered to order by the manufacturers and filled and sold in smaller containers by Roney and his partners. In 1998 the companies Pharmanex and Big Planet were bought. By 1989 the company had sales of approximately US $ 40 million. The company then grew faster and in 1996 had worldwide sales of US $ 678 million. As a result, it was converted into a stock corporation and listed on the stock exchange.

First the AG Nu Skin Asia Pacific was created, to which the other subsidiaries were then sold. As a result of the acquisition of the rights to a technology called “BioPhotonic Scanner”, which is intended to measure the carotenoid content of the skin and thus to prove the effectiveness of the nutritional supplements sold by Pharmanex, sales rose to over US $ 1 billion. Revenue in 2015 was more than $ 2.2 billion.
