Nudogram

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The nudogram is a special type of photogram .

It was developed in the 1970s by Floris Michael Neusüss and results from the technique of the photogram (luminography). These are silhouettes of mostly female photo models. At first, Neusüss produced nudograms of nude models, later of dressed models. The model stands behind a fabric-covered background, with the silhouette being the object to be photographed. Using double exposures, laboratory techniques, solarizations, etc., the nudogram can then be edited and manipulated until the desired surrealistic result is achieved. The technique of the nudogram belongs to experimental photography .
