Nurse is a painting by the American pop art painter Roy Lichtenstein from 1964.
Among the most expensive paintings ever sold, Nurse was purchased by an anonymous buyer for $ 95,365,000 on November 9, 2015. This was the record price at the time for a piece by an American Pop Art painter. It had previously been auctioned for $ 1.7 million in 1995. Christie’s , the auction house involved in the sale, called Nurse a "fundamental Lichtenstein heroine" and stated that the subject was taken from a 1960s comic novel.
