Nusa Dua
Nusa Dua is a place in the south of the island of Bali , Indonesia .
The place is about 25 kilometers south of Bali's capital Denpasar on a peninsula.
Nusa Dua is a pure tourist place. The area houses several large, upscale and luxury hotels. Because of this, the prices in restaurants and shops are much higher than on the rest of the island.
Events
In 2007 the world climate conference took place in Nusa Dua. In 2011, the first seminar on tourism ethics in Asia was held here.
Tanjung Benoa
Immediately north of the tourist district on the Tanjung Benoa peninsula is a less exclusive hotel district and the multi-ethnic village of Benoa. The sand on the beaches here has now been almost completely removed by the increased current after the reef off the coast had been dismantled for the extraction of building materials.
