history
The company Josef Oberlerchner Holzindustrie had gained initial experience with the construction of gliders before the two-seater JOB 5, the company's first powered aircraft, made its maiden flight in 1958. The three-seat JOB 15 then followed as a further development.
construction
Like the JOB 5, it is designed as a low -wing aircraft and is made of mixed construction, with the fuselage made of a tubular steel construction with GRP cladding and the wings made of wood. The JOB 15 is designed as a tail wheel aircraft, the main landing gear has aerodynamically clad wheels, the tail wheel remains unclad.
Versions
Three different versions were made, which differ in their motorization. The number after the type designation generally stands for the power of the aircraft engine in hp:
- JOB 15-135, 3 copies, motorized with the 135 HP (101 kW) Avco Lycoming O-290 -D2B
- JOB 15-150, 10 copies, motorized with the 150 PS (112 kW) Avco Lycoming O-320 -A2B
- JOB 15-150 / 2 improved version of the JOB 15-150, 11 copies, motorized with the 150 PS (112 kW) Avco Lycoming O-320-A2B
Some JOB 15-150 / 2 were converted to 180 HP (135 kW) Lycoming engines and are then referred to as JOB 15-180 / 2.
