Supreme Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania
The Supreme Electoral Commission of the Republic of Lithuania (lit. Lietuvos Respublikos vyriausioji rinkimų komisija , VRK) is the national Lithuanian authority responsible for the proper conduct of elections in Lithuania . It has its seat in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , in the district Naujamiestis , not far from the Lithuanian parliament Seimas .
The commission was set up in 1919. The meetings take place in public.
VRK forms the regional election commissions ( apygardos rinkimų komisija ).
