action

The farce , which depicts married life, is narrated retrospectively by Antonia, the wife, and begins with the scene in which Antonia repeatedly tries to kill herself because of her husband's cheating. At the beginning of the piece, the man persuades Antonia to have an open two-way relationship , which is initially only open to his side. The woman first tries to accept this type of relationship and remains in the role of the dear mother and wife. However, since she cannot cope with it, suffers from it and is jealous, she changes and sets new goals. This contradicts the man's ideas of an open two-person relationship, whereupon he takes his own life.
