Fainted with happiness ( Japanese ダ ー リ ン は 生 モ ノ に つ き , Darling wa namamono ni Tsuki ) is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Yuki Yoshihara , which has been published in Japan since 1997. The work is about the love of a young woman for a man who thinks she is a transvestite. The manga can be classified into the genre Romance and Josei .

Young Setsuko was raised alone by her transsexual father, who runs a cross dressing bar. When she fell in love with the young doctor Kyosuke Tanabe, he initially thought she was a transsexual. When she can finally convince him that she is a woman, they get together and eventually get married. But the married life of the two is not easy either, as both are very different.

Publications

The manga was published in Japan from 1997 to 2001 in the Petit Comic magazine published by Shogakukan in individual chapters. A total of eight edited volumes were published later. The series is published in French by Generation Comics.

The Tokyopop publishing house has been publishing the manga in German since September 2008. Seven volumes have been published so far.
