Octave (disambiguation)
Octave (from Latin octava 'the eighth') stands for:
- the distance between two frequencies that behave like 2 to 1, and also the total of all frequencies within this range. In this sense, the term is used in music (see octave ) as well as in physics and electrical engineering (see octave (high frequency technology) )
- Octave (auxiliary unit of measurement), an auxiliary unit of measurement used in various areas (music, acoustics, high-frequency technology) for frequency intervals (represented logarithmically)
