history
Olympia-Verlag was founded on November 1st, 1946 as a sole proprietorship and has been a GmbH since January 1st, 1947. The first license holder was Joseph E. Drexel , who received the American license 181 on October 30, 1946 to publish a sports magazine. The license was later extended to Friedebert Becker .
