Olympias (author)
Olympias was a probably in the 1st century BC. Midwife living in Thebes and author of a medical book in which she wrote down the experiences of her profession. The work has not survived, but is by Pliny the Elder. Ä. mentioned several times in his Naturalis historia . At the same time he gives some passages of the work with advice on abortion drugs, menstrual medicine and remedies against sterility.
